You have continued to violate my father’s rights – El-Rufai tells ICPC

Hon. Mohammed Bello Elrufai, son of the immediate past Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir Elrufai, has demanded that all the constitutional rights of his father, be accorded him.
El-Rufai, who is the member representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, in a press statement pasted on his verified Facebook page, said as a family, they witnessed two distinct yet equally serious attacks on his father’s basic rights.

According to him, their father, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai’s personal Doctor visited the ICPC at about 3pm to discuss the results of medical tests recently conducted, but officials at the agency blocked the doctor from seeing him, claiming that written permission from the ICPC Chairman was required.

According to him, the refusal flouted a clear court order granting his father unrestricted access to his doctors.

“Second, his wife, Aunty Aichatou, brought his evening meal at around 7pm as she normally does. ICPC personnel turned her away, saying they had orders not to permit food deliveries after 6:30pm, ‘ he wrote.

According to him, the arbitrary rules are outright assaults on the rule of law and a clear violation of their father’s constitutional and human rights.

The statement claimed that no lawful detention justifies denying medical access or refusing basic family care based on an arbitrary curfew fixed by the ICPC.

“We demand that all his constitutional rights be fully respected. We will no longer accept this pattern of intimidation dressed up as protocol,” he said.

According to him, the ICPC must abide by the very laws it claims to enforce.

  • How My Wife Cheated On Me , Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Host..Frank Edoho

How My Wife Cheated On Me , Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Host..Frank Edoho

Popular television host and media personality, Frank Edoho, has fired back at allegations of infidelity and financial irresponsibility levelled against him by his estranged wife, Sandra Onyenucheya, amid the messy online fallout trailing their failed marriage.

Speaking on the controversy after Sandra publicly accused him of cheating, emotional abuse and abandoning his responsibilities as a father, Edoho claimed that her alleged relationship with singer, Chike, was one of the final straws that led to the collapse of the marriage.

According to him, he initially attempted to salvage the relationship for the sake of their children despite allegedly discovering evidence of an affair between Sandra and the singer.

“Since December 2022 till January last year (2025), that news that came out is very true. I approached that stupid guy because this is my second marriage. I asked him if he knew who I was and he was shaking like a leaf. I asked him what he was doing with my wife. He had a serious girlfriend he was engaged to, Precious.

“I told him that if my wife was stupid enough to cheat on her husband, why would he encourage it? He said, ‘Is that what she told you?’ and I told him I have the recordings of him talking to my wife. I told him I have two boys with this woman and I want to raise them. Leave this woman alone and maybe, she will come to her senses. I will overlook it and take one for my sons but they continued,” he said.

Edoho further alleged that Sandra actively encouraged the relationship with the singer despite his efforts to preserve the marriage.

“In the audio, she was the one encouraging the guy. I don’t know what I did to deserve that. I sent her to school in 2010 and 2011 and I said she should do a business. We settled for interior design, and I found her first carpenter for her. I raised everything and studied interior design photography because of her for four years.

“I was doing all that for my wife until I raised her to the point that trouble started. She felt she was big and started an affair with this guy,” he added.

The veteran broadcaster also revealed that there was a period he walked away from the marriage for about three months before Sandra persuaded him to return.

Speaking further on the divorce proceedings, Edoho claimed Sandra initiated legal action after discovering that he had moved on emotionally.

“There was a point when she saw that I had moved on and she saw me with a beautiful girl and she took me to court that she wants a divorce. It was just like anger.

“She was asking me to pay her N4m every month for the children’s upkeep and I said that it’s not happening. When I brought my evidence to court, the judge just said please, you know there are children involved,” he said.

He also stated that he will release evidences to back up his claims. He explained that he had used a technology to secretly record her calls with Chike after she promised to not return. In some of the audios which leaked online, Sandra admitted that the divorce was not Edoho’s fault.

Meanwhile, in an earlier call with Saturday Beats, Edoho had declined further public engagement over the controversies trailing the collapse of the second marriage

He had said, “I am not going to grant any interview because what is the gain for me in talking about my life?” he said.

The media personality also reacted briefly to claims made by his estranged wife regarding allegations of infidelity and financial responsibility during their marriage. Laughing off the claims, he said, “Indeed. And I left her two years ago and she is still sponsoring. Don’t worry, let people have that perspective.”

One X user identified as Danny of Owerri stirred further conversations when he pointed out that singer, Chike, had an affair with Edoho’s estranged wife.

“But why would Chike sleep with Frank Edoho’s wife. Why? I use to see Chike as a responsible guy,” the user wrote.

Reacting to the outpouring of sympathy from fans, Edoho revealed that he and Sandra had already been separated for almost two years before the current online uproar.

“I truly appreciate the empathy. While I understand that the public is only just becoming aware of this chapter, I have lived through it privately for quite some time now(almost 2 years) and have since made peace with it emotionally,” he stated.

Meanwhile, social media users continued to dissect online activities involving Sandra and Chike after both parties shared the same love themed song on Friday. The song, titled, “You’re The Closest To Heaven,” by an Australian singer, sparked speculation among fans who interpreted the posts as subtle messaging amid the controversy.

Attention also shifted to an earlier interview granted by Chike on The Unpack Podcast hosted by NAY, where the singer spoke about his preference for older women in relationships.

As conversations intensified online, Sandra also took to her Instagram page on Thursday, May 15, 2026, to share her side of the story in a lengthy post titled, “Surviving A Bitch Ass Nigga, Frank Edoho.”

In the post, she accused Edoho of infidelity, emotional abuse, neglect and financial irresponsibility during their marriage.

“Choosing to remain silent may give mixed signals to the narrative that a sadist and narcissist peddles, making everyone believe he is a victim.

“Choosing to marry a man, raising our beautiful kids, single handedly building and growing a successful design business and giving myself wholly, undiluted and faithful through and through!

“Until you decided that while I am pregnant with our first child, you would rather have a prolonged affair that lasted years with an actress, Mbong Amata amongst other women.

“Where do I even begin? The nights crying on the floor begging that you see me, with you walking out and not returning for days!”

She further alleged that Edoho discouraged her from keeping their second child and accused him of abandoning his responsibilities as a father.

“Or the days you tormented me to abort our second child because you were in numerous relationships and not ready to be a father?!

“Throughout the emotional, physiological, mental and physical torture and abuse, I stayed committed, faithful, shielding you, carrying like egg. But you are a shell. Washed up and dried out. You live for validation of the Internet. So enjoy your 10 seconds of pity party.

“A dead beat! That is exactly what you are. I singlehandedly sponsored your lavish lifestyle.

“I singlehandedly paid all your bills, the trips, business class tickets, 5 star hotels, luxury trips, all the home bills including that of the other children from your previously failed marriage. I took your mum abroad to the United States, and she lived in my parent’s home for years! I tried to cover you.

“Have you ever paid school fees? Have you ever? All you did was abuse the financial access you had to my funds. Squandering my money on prostitutes and loose women.”

Sandra also named and tagged several women she alleged Edoho was romantically involved with during their marriage.

“So many numerous transactions in Lekki hotels, air bnb, lounges and bars. Sold my property without my permission for chicken change and still squandered the earnings from it within one week! On different girls. Documented evidence dey! Chai!

“Disappearing for weeks on end! With loose women and whores like Adaeze Ugboaja at The Hardrock Cafe, or is it Tega Dominic @its_tegadominic the BBNaija girl, or is it Amaka Okeke @diaryofalionqueen, whom you claimed you were trying to get endorsement and sponsorship for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire who you brought into our home to sleep with on our matrimonial bed?

“Or is it the smelling prostitutes whom you led into our home? Where I had to video record you escorting her to the gate! Or is it the whore you had on your Snapchat frolicking in her bikini snapping with your own phone while you were there blowing kisses to her?”

Explaining why she eventually walked away from the marriage, Sandra maintained that she remained faithful throughout the relationship but eventually decided to prioritise herself and her wellbeing.

“Where do I start? Where do I begin?

“I was a great wife, a faithful wife to the core.

“But a time comes when a woman must choose herself. I chose myself and walked away, filed for divorce too. As an adult woman, I am free to be friends with and date whomever I please. Please, move on with your life. To family and friends who have walked this journey with me and know the truth, thank you for your prayers and support,” she added.

Meanwhile, the women she called out debunked having any form of romantic relationship with Edoho.

Debunking the allegations, Okeke wrote on Instagram, “Over the past few hours, my name has been wrongly linked to false and baseless allegations currently circulating online.

For clarity, Frank Edoho and I met in 2024 on strictly business related matters and only became good friends in May 2025 when he was dealing with a personal matter which I will not bring up here for privacy reasons. Any narrative beyond this is completely untrue.

I am deeply disappointed to see my name attached to narratives that are malicious, baseless, and entirely inaccurate.

I kindly ask that people refrain from spreading unverified claims that may harm individuals, families, and reputations.

I remain focused on my work and will not be engaging further on this matter. My legal team have been informed accordingly and will take action in due course. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with support.”

Tega Dominic also posted a cryptic message on Instagram: “It’s all cap,” she wrote.

Sandra Onyenucheya is a Nigerian entrepreneur and interior designer known for her luxury interior brand, Vivabella Designs and VivabellaHome. Through her social media pages, she frequently shares projects, luxury home inspirations and travels across different countries in search of premium interior pieces and designs.

Edoho, on the other hand, remains one of Nigeria’s most recognisable television personalities. He gained widespread fame as the host of the Nigerian edition of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and has also worked in broadcasting, events hosting and media production for decades.

This is not Edoho’s first failed marriage. Before his union with Sandra, he was married to broadcaster, Katherine Obiang. The marriage produced children before the couple eventually separated years ago. Their split also generated public attention at the time, though both parties later moved on with their lives privately.

We’re independent nation – Taiwan insists

Taiwan has insisted that it is an independent nation.

Taiwan’s foreign ministry made this known in a statement on Saturday.

The ministry noted that since US President Donald Trump took office the United States has repeatedly reaffirmed that its policy on the island remains unchanged.

Taiwan’s declaration comes a few hours after Trump warned it against declaring formal independence.

“Taiwan is a sovereign and independent democratic nation, and is not subordinate to the People’s Republic of China”, the statement said.

DAILY POST recalls that China had stated that Taiwan is not a sovereign nation but an inseparable part of Chinese territory.

Counselor at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Nigeria, Dong Hairong, reiterated that recent developments involving Taiwan showed the need for greater international understanding of the Taiwan question and China’s territorial position.

  • Insecurity In Nigeria Not Caused By Foreign Terrorists …Governor Radda

Insecurity In Nigeria Not Caused By Foreign Terrorists …Governor Radda

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, in this interview, gives perspectives on the insecurity in his state and in the country. He maintains that the problem is local; explaining why state police are needed to solve it.

Security is local and the governors have clamoured for opportunity and capacity to deal with it. What’s your position regarding the insecurity in your state and across the country?

For insecurity, you know, it’s a long story. It can take us a long time to explain; because when we took over the state in the last three years, about 24 local governments were under siege. In fact, the killings and the kidnapping every day were really mind-boggling. But you know, before I became governor, I came well prepared. So, we said security is our number one, number two, number three priority. And then we realised that it’s just a security issue; we have to localise it, it has to be community-based because we have very, very hard-to-reach areas in Katsina.

So, you can imagine if there are bandits attacking such remote places, no matter how proactive we are, it takes hours to reach such places. So, we came up with a mechanism to have people from those locations, who would be willing to give a helping hand before the coming of the security. Then we realised that the best thing we should do is to set up a security outfit made up of well-trained personnel.

    How did you train them?

We trained them through the military and the police. We equipped them with what we were allowed to give them, that is the pump-action rifle. In the first instance, we supplied them with over 70 Hilux vehicles and over 1,500 motorcycles. We provided them with gadgets, protection, and what have you. We trained them for months, and it was the first thing we did before six months of assuming office. We launched 1,500 combat personnel.

But we selected them from the locations where violence was taking place. Why? Because they will give first-hand support and they need to work in conjunction with the security. We bought a lot of Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs). I think we bought more than 20.

We provided them with allowances. But with the setting up of the new security outfit, which we call Katsina Community Watch, it became one of the main vehicles that helped us to suppress insecurity. In fact, the criminals fear this Community Watch more than the other conventional security.

But the bandits and criminals keep coming?

Yes. The only setback for our Katsina Security Watch was that they don’t carry AK-47s. Their weapons don’t go far, and that makes it difficult for them. But with that, and the support of the conventional security agencies, and air power, we were able to reduce insecurity to the barest minimum.

We heard your government negotiated with the insurgents. Is that correct?

I’ve said it many times; I’m not going to negotiate with bandits. I will not invite any bandit to come for any negotiation. But if the bandits are under pressure and they want us to sit down and provide a roadmap towards peace, then I will be ready to listen to them.

With our efforts, we were able to suppress it. But things got stuck. At a point, communities were meeting the bandits and negotiating on their own, and they approached us through the local government and said, ‘look sir, we have spoken to these people, and they are ready to stop these things, and we are ready to accept them back into society.’ I said it’s fine.

At least, if we had not put pressure on these people, they would not have asked for negotiation. But since they have asked for it, you can sit down with them, but I’m out of it. But I will not fight it, because I’m here sitting as a governor because of your mandate, and if that is your wish, you get it.

So, we allowed them to negotiate. So, at a point, particularly in Jibia, for one and a half years, nobody was killed. That place was a theatre zone, because we border Niger and some of them moved in from Niger Republic.

But I followed suit and now it’s one year and two months; nobody was killed in Safana, and all these frontline local governments. In fact, there was a time in Katsina State, for about six months, nothing happened until recently when we began to witness a breakdown of the peace deal in some local governments. In two of them, we know the person responsible; he was born there, his parents were born there, his grandparents were born there. So, all our security issues are really local.

But there are stories of foreign terrorists coming into the country…

The issue of some people coming from other countries is a lie. Even if there are foreigners involved, 95 per cent of those perpetuating this act are our own people; they were born and bred here.

What is complicating the issue now, and even before, is compromise – compromise by the security agencies and even the communities because nobody will come and attack any village without information. It’s a lie to blame it on foreign terrorists.

You know there is this particular notorious person they are talking about, who attacked people just in the last two days or three. He’s being protected by the community. Yes, he’s being protected. You can imagine.

Last two weeks or last week, I called a high-level security meeting in this chamber. Do you know that five minutes after the meeting, the bandits’ leader called some people and told them what we had just discussed in the meeting. All the things we discussed at the meeting, he was aware of it all.

So, how are you going to deal with this situation? Sometimes if police are ambushed, maybe one of them has given out information. When the military is ambushed, maybe one of them has given information to the insurgents. So, this is the situation we are in, where a bandits’ leader knows where we are; he has more information than we have. You know that if we don’t get the cooperation of the people, we cannot end this. It’s really a difficult and dicey situation we are in.

You agree that security is local. How can we get communities and leaders who compromise their positions to pay for their sins?

There’s hardly anybody you can trust. This is the situation I am in. And I’m not the one to carry the gun and go. And sometimes I even go along with the security to attack these guys. But by the time you get there, you will meet empty houses. They have all run away because they got the information that you were coming.

And sometimes, if security were informed of an attack, when they go there, they ambush them because they had prior information that they were coming. There was one local leader from the community where there was an attack. Someone called him and he sent me the recorded message.

If he changed his clothes, the person who called him would tell him the colour of the clothes he had changed. If after an hour he went back to his house and changed to another set of clothes, the caller would call and tell him he had changed clothes. So, it means that people around him are spying on him and feeding the criminals.

This is the situation we are in. And that is why I have said it over and again that we need state police. And the time is now. We could not give this local security outfit sophisticated weapons because there is no law backing the outfit. Some people have been talking about politics, saying the governors are going to abuse the state police…

You think the fear of governors abusing state police is misplaced?

Before I became a governor, I used to nurse that fear. But the issue is I can only be a governor for eight years. So, if I use the security apparatus against anybody, that means someone who comes later will also use it against me.

So, it’s not about politics. And are we not in Nigeria where a sitting president lost election when he had control of the military and the police? So, what about an ordinary state governor? Will he say he cannot lose election because he has state police? I believe Nigeria is far more sophisticated and there are certain things people can do and get away with. But we are here talking about the lives of people. The money I invested in securing lives, I could have expended it on projects.
