BBN star Tega Dominic breaks silence on alleged affair with Frank Edoho

Former Big Brother Naija star, Tega Dominic has addressed claims by Frank Edoho’s estranged wife, Sandra, who accused her and others of affairs with the TV host, even in their home.

In a statement posted via her X handle, Tega explained that her friendship with Edoho started in mid-2025 over social media and a shared birthday wish to her mother, with their only meeting having her manager in attendance.

Her post read, “I honestly did not want to speak on this because I have spent a long time trying to stay away from unnecessary drama, but at this point, my silence is no longer helping. I have absolutely no sexual or emotional relationship with Frank Edoho.

“Frank is a great guy and a very good friend of mine. We started talking around mid-last year after he sent birthday wishes to my mum. Like many people in the industry, we already knew each other through social media and mutual familiarity. He is also my kinsman. There was never anything inappropriate between us.

“The first and only time I hung out with Frank was with my manager, Paul Ukonu, present,”she said.

“I have absolutely nothing to hide. And honestly, if I ever had anything to do with Frank romantically, I would say it with my full chest. He was separated at the time, and I am also separated. If you know me, you know I have never been the type to hide or sneak around. I say things exactly as they are.

“I have worked too hard to build myself and my brand step by step to allow false accusations stain my name like this. I owe it to my family, friends, supporters, and the reputable brands I work with to protect my reputation.

“I believe it is important for evidence to be provided because I will not let this slide. My name cannot be dragged carelessly into false narratives.

“This has honestly been very upsetting for me, but moving forward, my lawyers will handle the matter appropriately.

The arrested suspects, Seriki Mohammed Abdullahi, the kidnapping kingpin and Mohammed Bello, a gang member were apprehended at about 5 a.m.

On Monday, the suspects who were part of gunmen suspected to be bandits stormed Ipojo Golden Estate in the Oke-Eri area of Ijebu-Ode and abducted three families members.

DAILY POST learnt that the victims regained their freedom unharmed at about 7:30 p.m. on Thursday following the payment of an unspecified ransom.

The Police Spokesperson in the state, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, while confirming their release on Saturday, said operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad intensified efforts to track down members of the gang responsible for the abduction.

Babaseyi stated that the intelligence-led operation led to their arrest and recovery of one AK-47 rifle loaded with ten rounds of 5.6mm ammunition, one single-barrel gun, the sum of N1.5 Million suspected to be ransom proceeds, several mobile phones, and a black bag.

The Police said, “Operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, Ogun State Police Command, neutralized two suspected kidnappers and arrested a suspected kidnapping kingpin, Seriki Mohammed Abdullahi ‘M’, alongside a suspected gang member, Mohammed Bello ‘M’, during an intelligence-led operation that also led to the recovery of one AK-47 rifle loaded with ten rounds of 5.6mm ammunition, one single-barrel gun, the sum of One Million Five Hundred Thousand Naira (₦1,500,000) suspected to be ransom proceeds, several mobile phones, and a black bag.”

I became talent manager by marriage – Toyosi Etim Effiong reveals

Toyosi Etim Effiong, wife of Nigerian actor and filmmaker Daniel Etim Effiong, has revealed that her marriage to the movie star influenced her decision to become a talent manager.

In her recent podcast outing, Mrs Etim Effiong explained that after she got married, she noticed that her husband’s career and Nollywood in general lack structures and legal frameworks.

She said banking on her experience as a show organiser in New York, she decided to introduce some of the structures in the American showbiz into Nollywood, starting with her husband as her first client.

She said after some months of managing her husband’s career, some of his colleagues who noticed the positive changes in his career also reached out to her to be their manager as well.

Etim Effiong said, “I am married to Daniel Etim Effiong -Nigeria’s finest filmmaker and actor. And earlier on in the marriage, I realised that there wasn’t a lot of structure in his career and the Nigerian movie industry generally.

“Producers just casually call actors and ask when they will be available for a shoot and when the actor is available, they start bargaining for the artiste’s fee over the phone like market women. It was very informal.

“Sometimes, you will clear your calendar for a shoot and the producer will call and tell you it has been cancelled at the last minute and give excuses. There was no structure or legal framework. The negotiations were also horrible.

“So, I became a self-appointed manager, which he was fine with. I started to support him, even with his social media and reading through his contracts. My support brought immediate results. And after some months, some of his friends approached me to manage them, too.”

  • Putin set for China visit after Trump’s Beijing trip

Putin set for China visit after Trump’s Beijing trip

Russian President, Vladimir Putin is scheduled to visit China on May 19 for a two-day official trip, coming shortly after US President Donald Trump concluded his visit to Beijing, the Kremlin announced on Saturday.

According to a statement released by the Kremlin, Putin’s discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping will focus on ways to “further strengthen the comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation” between both countries.

The statement added that the two leaders are expected to deliberate on major international and regional developments before signing a joint declaration at the end of their meeting.

Putin is also expected to hold talks with Chinese Premier Li Qiang on issues relating to trade and economic cooperation between Moscow and Beijing.

The announcement follows Trump’s departure from China on Friday after completing the first visit by a sitting US president to the Asian country in nearly 10 years.

Despite the elaborate reception accorded to him, several contentious issues, including trade disputes and geopolitical tensions surrounding the Russia-Ukraine war, remained unresolved.

Trump and Xi reportedly discussed the conflict in Ukraine, which has lasted for more than four years, as well as the ongoing US-Israeli confrontation with Iran. However, the US president left Beijing without any major breakthrough on either issue.

China has consistently called for dialogue aimed at ending the Ukraine conflict, but has refrained from condemning Russia’s military operation launched in February 2022. Beijing continues to present itself as neutral in the conflict.

Chinese authorities have also repeatedly denied supplying Russia with weapons or military equipment for its defence sector, instead accusing Western nations of prolonging the war by providing military support to Ukraine.

China, currently the largest purchaser of Russian fossil fuels, has emerged as a crucial economic ally for Moscow, particularly after Western countries imposed sanctions on Russian oil and gas exports following the outbreak of the war.

Efforts led by the United States to broker peace talks between Russia and Ukraine have reportedly slowed since the outbreak of the US-Israeli conflict with Iran on February 28.

Meanwhile, Moscow has maintained that it will not agree to a ceasefire or broader negotiations with Ukraine unless Kyiv accepts the Kremlin’s far-reaching conditions.
