‘Sleeping with another man’s wife attracts curses’ – Shan George on Chike, Edoho saga

Popular Nigerian actress, Shan George, has claimed that having sexual intercourse with a married woman attracts curses.

The actress made this claim in a lengthy post shared on her Facebook page at the weekend while reacting to the ongoing controversy about Frank Edoho’s messy marital crisis with wife, Sandra Edoho.

DAILY POST reports that Frank, a famous Nigerian media personality, had over a week ago accused Sandra of having extramarital affairs with singer Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka, popularly known by his stage name, Chike.

Defending herself, Sandra also accused Frank of cheating on her with some Nigerian celebrities.

While Chike is yet to deny or address the allegation, many celebrities have continued to condemn the singer’s act after Frank shared his alleged evidence.

Condemning the incident, Shan George told Chike to apologise to Frank, noting that “sleeping with another man’s wife is a TUFIAKWA that carries generational curses.”

Advising couples on how to settle disputes amicably, she wrote, “Any form of ‘Do me I do you’ must be avoided at such times, until you resolve the issues. As for the ladies, please, if the marriage taya you, after trying all your best, please leave the marriage, doing asewo inside marriage is a sacrilege.

“In conclusion, Chike owes Frank Edoho and all men whose wives he has chewed, an apology”, she wrote

Thai police arrest six Nigerians over alleged AI-powered romance scam network

Thai authorities have arrested six Nigerian nationals allegedly linked to an AI-driven romance scam network operating from a luxury condominium in Nonthaburi as part of an investigation that originated from a cocaine trafficking case.

The arrests were carried out during coordinated raids on May 22 at three apartments located near Phra Nangklao Bridge along the Chao Phraya River. Police said the suspects lived in groups within the condominium and allegedly used fabricated identities, AI-generated images and fake video calls to defraud victims, mainly elderly Thai women.

According to investigators, the operation began in April after a Nigerian man identified as Patrick and three other suspects were arrested over alleged cocaine trafficking. During the earlier raid, authorities reportedly confiscated assets estimated at 2.5 million baht.

Police said financial records linked to the narcotics investigation later led investigators to several foreign nationals residing in the high-end condominium complex under student visas. Authorities claimed none of the suspects was actually attending school or engaged in lawful employment.

Details of the operation surfaced in a viral video posted on X by Cambodia-based crime researcher Jacob Sims, who uses the handle @jacobincambodia.

Armed with search warrants, officers stormed the apartments after the occupants allegedly refused to grant them access. One suspect reportedly attempted to escape through a balcony, while another was found hiding in a bathroom and allegedly sending warning messages to others in nearby apartments.

During the searches, police recovered 18 mobile phones, three laptops and three bank passbooks. Investigators disclosed that some of the devices were still logged into ongoing conversations with suspected scam victims.

Authorities alleged that the syndicate created online profiles posing as pilots, doctors, engineers and United States military officers to establish romantic relationships with women. Victims were later told that valuable parcels had been seized by customs officials and that money was needed to secure their release.

Police also claimed to have discovered AI-generated photographs of Western-looking individuals allegedly used during deceptive video calls, alongside prepared scripts intended to manipulate victims into sending funds.

  • France Bans Israeli National Security Minister

France Bans Israeli National Security Minister

France has banned Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir from entering its territory, citing his conduct toward activists detained from the Gaza-bound Global Sumud Flotilla, as international condemnation over the treatment of the 430 detainees continued to mount on Saturday.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot announced the ban on X, saying the decision followed Ben-Gvir’s “unspeakable actions toward French and European citizens who were passengers on the Global Sumud Flotilla.”

“We cannot tolerate that French nationals can be threatened, intimidated or brutalized in this way, all the more so by a public official,” Barrot wrote.

Ben-Gvir sparked global outrage after promoting a video of himself taunting detained flotilla activists who were seen forced to kneel with their foreheads to the ground and their hands tied, as they awaited deportation at the southern port of Ashdod.

Poland had already barred Ben-Gvir earlier in the week, announcing a five-year ban on Thursday. Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski posted: “In the democratic world we do not abuse and gloat over people in custody.”

Barrot, while condemning Ben-Gvir’s conduct, also distanced France from the flotilla’s mission itself.

“We disapprove of this flotilla’s approach, which produces no useful effect and places an additional burden on diplomatic and consular services,” he wrote.

He nonetheless called on the European Union to impose sanctions on Ben-Gvir, joining a similar call from Italy.

Organisers of the Global Sumud Flotilla said in a statement on Friday that freed activists reported at least 15 cases of sexual abuse while in Israeli detention, including humiliating strip searches, sexual taunting, groping and multiple accounts of rape, with the worst incidents occurring on a vessel converted into a makeshift prison.

The UN said it was “very concerned” by the reports.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Ben-Gvir’s treatment of the activists was “not in line with Israel’s values and norms,” though Netanyahu had earlier denounced the humanitarian aid mission as a “malicious scheme” intended to support Hamas.

  • Ganduje’s Son Joins Kwankwaso’s NDC For 2027 Reps Race

Ganduje’s Son Joins Kwankwaso’s NDC For 2027 Reps Race

AbdulAziz Umar, son of former All Progressives Congress National Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has declared his intention to contest the House of Representatives seat for the Dawakin Tofa/Tofa/Rimin Gado Federal Constituency in Kano State under the New Democratic Coalition.

His decision to pick a nomination form under the NDC marks a significant departure from the family’s longstanding alignment with the APC and signals his reported movement into the political camp of former Kano Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

A video circulating on social media showed AbdulAziz speaking about his political ambitions and his engagement with Kwankwaso, publicly confirming his alignment with the former governor’s expanding political network.

The NDC is the party Kwankwaso adopted after his widely reported exit from the African Democratic Congress, and it has been gaining momentum across Kano State, attracting established political figures and grassroots support.

Political analysts say AbdulAziz’s entry into the race is likely to intensify competition in the constituency, with a potentially high-stakes contest expected against an APC candidate in what observers are already describing as one of the more closely watched 2027 races in the state.

His candidacy is also seen as a development that could redraw political alliances in Kano, deepening the rivalry between the Kwankwasiyya movement and the ruling APC structure in the build-up to the general elections.

  • El-Rufai’s Wife Demands N2bn From ICPC Over Alleged Defamation

El-Rufai’s Wife Demands N2bn From ICPC Over Alleged Defamation

Aichatou El-Rufai, wife of detained former Kaduna State governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, has issued a pre-action notice against the chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, demanding ₦2bn in damages over statements she says damaged her reputation.

The notice, filed by her legal team, targets a press statement the commission released on May 18, 2026, titled “Clarification on the Access Control Protocol at ICPC Headquarters, Abuja,” which was read by spokesperson J. Okor Odey.

Her lawyers argued that the statement’s description of her as “a woman who identified herself as the wife of a defendant” cast doubt on her status as El-Rufai’s lawful spouse and exposed her to public ridicule.

They further contended that the commission’s characterisation of her earlier claims as “false and misleading” portrayed her as dishonest and manipulative before a wide audience, while allegations that she breached visitation protocols at the facility depicted her as someone who disregards institutional rules.

The legal team also objected to portions of the statement that they said suggested she contradicted herself over claims that her husband was denied food while in custody, arguing the remarks undermined her credibility. They described as malicious a separate implication that she staged a media spectacle to circumvent official procedures.

The notice states that the publication has circulated widely both within Nigeria and internationally, causing reputational damage to a woman her lawyers described as being of “unblemished character.”

Mrs El-Rufai’s legal team is demanding an immediate retraction and public apology to be published in at least three national newspapers and across the commission’s official digital platforms. They are also seeking ₦2 billion in general, aggravated, and exemplary damages, as well as a written undertaking against future similar statements.

The ICPC has been given 14 days to comply or face a lawsuit.
