Insecurity :Popular TikToker Mama G Attacks Pastor Adeboye For Cancelling Protests

Popular TikToker Mama G has sparked reactions online after releasing a video in which she strongly criticized the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye, over reports that an alleged planned protest by church members in Oyo State was stopped.

The controversy comes in the wake of the kidnapping of pupils and teachers from a school in Oyo State, an incident that has generated widespread concern and renewed calls for improved security measures.

In a video circulating on social media, Mama G alleged that RCCG members who intended to allegedly stage a peaceful protest over the abduction were prevented from doing so. She further claimed that the action was influenced by the church’s relationship with Nigeria’s First Lady, who is a Pastor in the church. However, these claims have not been independently verified.

Expressing her frustration, the TikToker launched a scathing attack on Pastor Adeboye, accusing him and other prominent pastors of contributing to Nigeria’s problems. She described Adeboye as a “blood-sucking demon” and alleged that religious leaders have failed to speak up on issues affecting ordinary Nigerians.

Mama G also claimed that some church leaders have negatively affected the future of Nigerian children and mothers, while directing curses at Pastor Adeboye and his family. In the emotional outburst, she further accused RCCG pastors of wrongdoing and declared that they would eventually face the consequences of their actions.

The video has since generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users supporting her call for greater accountability from religious leaders, while others condemned her remarks as disrespectful and excessive.

Neither Pastor Adeboye nor the RCCG leadership had publicly responded to the allegations at the time of this report.

Remi Tinubu Donates N100m Empowerment Grants To 2000 Ekiti women

The wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Saturday announced a donation of N100m empowerment grant for 2,000 women in the state.

She spoke at the Pavilion in Ado Ekiti, as she expressed gratitude to the people for their support for Oyebanji’s administration, while calling on them to vote for him in the forthcoming governorship poll.

Tinubu also announced a N100m grant for women in the state, saying 2,000 beneficiaries would receive N50,000 each to support their businesses.

“We are here to thank you because you came in your numbers and waited for us since morning. I have asked the governor’s wife to empower 2,000 women with N50,000 each. It is not a loan, it is to support your businesses,” she said.

The wife of the President said she would return to the state to campaign for her husband re-election in 2027, saying that the country would record further progress if the President secures a second term.

During her visit to the state, she inaugurated an Information and Communication Technology Centre at the Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, a project executed through her Renewed Hope Initiative.

Also speaking, the wife of the governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, thanked women in the state for their support and urged them to vote for her husband in the June 20 election.

“We should vote for BAO and by January, for Jagaban (President Tinubu). In 2023, it was Ekiti that first released presidential results. It will be massive again by 2027,” she said.

Governor Oyebanji described the First Lady’s visit and interventions in the state as evidence of her commitment to the welfare of Nigerians.

He also thanked President Tinubu for supporting his administration, saying the assistance from the Federal Government had contributed to the achievements recorded by his government.

“All the things we have done, whether in healthcare, road construction, employment and other sectors, would not have been possible without the support of my father, President Tinubu,” he said.

The governor added that residents of the state would reciprocate the support by backing the President in the 2027 election.

Also, the Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, urged women in the state to continue supporting the APC-led administrations at both the state and federal levels.

UCL: Arsenal create record after losing final to PSG

Arsenal on Saturday created a record after losing the Champions League final to Paris Saint-Germain.

Recall that Luis Enrique’s side defeated the Gunners on penalty shoot-out after a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes.

The goals of the match were scored by Kai Havertz and Ousmane Dembele during regular time.

However, according to OptaJoe, Arsenal remains the team with the most games (226) in Champions League history to never lift the trophy.

This record follows their 2006 and 2026 final defeats, maintaining their status without a premier European title.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s possession average (24.7%) was the lowest by a team in a Champions League final on record (since 2003-04), as well as their lowest in any match under manager Mikel Arteta, where they had 11 men on the pitch throughout.

  • Israeli troops capture strategic Beaufort Castle in southern Lebanon

Israeli troops capture strategic Beaufort Castle in southern Lebanon

Israeli forces have seized control of the strategic Beaufort Castle, a Crusader-era fortress perched on a mountain in southern Lebanon, marking their deepest military advance into Lebanese territory in more than 25 years, the Israeli military announced on Sunday.

The capture of the historic stronghold, located near the city of Nabatiyeh, followed several days of fierce clashes and airstrikes targeting nearby villages where Israeli troops engaged Hezbollah fighters in the mountainous region.

The development represents a significant military gain for Israel in the ongoing conflict with Hezbollah, which escalated into full-scale hostilities in early March. The latest fighting adds to decades of tensions between Israel and Lebanon that date back to the establishment of the Israeli state in 1948.

The operation was carried out despite a ceasefire agreement that has technically remained in effect since April 17.

Israeli military spokesperson for Arabic-language media, Avichay Adraee, shared a photograph on X showing Israeli soldiers moving around the grounds of the fortress following its capture.

Beaufort Castle has previously featured prominently in the conflict between the two countries. Israeli forces first took control of the site in 1982 and maintained a presence there until withdrawing from southern Lebanon in 2000.

In a statement, the Israeli military said it had launched an operation several days earlier across the Beaufort Ridge and the nearby Suluki Valley with the objective of dismantling Hezbollah positions and eliminating what it described as direct threats to Israeli civilians.

The military added that it remained prepared to widen the scope of the operation if circumstances required.

Israel has intensified its military campaign in Lebanon in recent days, issuing evacuation warnings to residents across the country’s southern region while deploying troops beyond the Litani River, an area that had long served as an informal dividing line in previous phases of the conflict.

  • ‘I’m Not Interested In Being A Legend’ – PSG Coach Enrique

‘I’m Not Interested In Being A Legend’ – PSG Coach Enrique

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique has played down talk of legacy and “legend” status after guiding the French champions to a second successive UEFA Champions League title with a shootout win over Arsenal in Budapest.

The Spanish manager, who has now added another European crown to his managerial achievements, insisted his focus remains on the team rather than personal recognition.

“Legend? I’m not interested in that,” Luis Enrique said after the final. “This is about the team, the players, the work we have done throughout the season. That is what matters most.”

PSG defeated Arsenal 4-3 on penalties after a tense 1-1 draw, securing back-to-back Champions League titles and further establishing themselves as one of Europe’s dominant sides.

The victory follows last season’s emphatic triumph over Inter Milan and cements PSG’s status as the first club to retain the trophy since Real Madrid’s three-peat between 2016 and 2018.

Despite the achievement, Luis Enrique remained grounded, stressing that success at this level is built on collective effort rather than individual accolades.

“We try to be there again next year,” he said. “When you have quality players and the right mentality, you always have a chance. But we still need to improve, to refresh the squad, and keep pushing forward.”

Under his leadership, PSG have undergone a tactical and cultural transformation, shifting away from a star-dependent model towards a more balanced, disciplined unit built on structure and youth.

The result has been sustained success in Europe and a clearer identity on the pitch, with the club now widely regarded as one of the most complete teams in world football.

However, Luis Enrique insisted that even this does not change his perspective.

“It’s amazing, yes,” he said of the achievement. “But football moves quickly. You win today, and tomorrow you start again.”

PSG’s latest triumph leaves them on the brink of a potential European dynasty, but their manager appears more interested in the process than the praise even as his name continues to grow in the competition’s modern history books.
