Real Madrid: I’m worried, Dumfries has signed – Agbonlahor warns Alexander-Arnold about Mourinho

Former Aston Villa captain, Gabby Agbonlahor, has warned Real Madrid right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold about Jose Mourinho.

Agbonlahor said he is worried the England international will struggle for minutes under Mourinho at Real Madrid because of Denzel Dumfries.

Mourinho and Dumfries are all set to join Real Madrid from Benfica and Inter Milan, respectively.

The Portuguese is poised to return for another spell as Real Madrid manager, while Dumfries is also set to become one of the Portuguese’s signings at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Speaking with Rangers icon Ally McCoist, Agbonlahor said (via talkSPORT), “I’m worried for Trent, I really am. [Denzel] Dumfries has signed, hasn’t he? Or nearly signed, from Inter Milan.

“And he’s more of a Jose Mourinho right-back, isn’t he?

“He’s more of a strong, aggressive, quick, physical [right-back]. I don’t see Trent playing much under Mourinho.”

Alexander-Arnold joined Real Madrid last summer after leaving Liverpool as a free agent.
