A group of American researchers has claimed to have uncovered underground structures that may support the biblical account of Noah’s Ark at the Durupınar Formation in eastern Turkey.

According to the Daily Mail, the team, Noah’s Ark Scans, used ground-penetrating radar and infrared thermography to detect what they described as tunnels and a central chamber beneath the site.

Researcher Andrew Jones said the structures appear to align with the biblical description of the Ark in Genesis, which references multiple levels.

The Durupınar Formation, located near Mount Ararat, has been the subject of similar claims for decades due to its boat-like shape and size, which some say matches biblical measurements.

The site was first identified in 1948 and later studied after aerial images in 1959 drew global attention. Since then, multiple researchers have conducted surveys, including radar scans and soil testing, with some claiming to find structures resembling compartments beneath the surface.

However, earlier investigations, including surveys carried out in the 20th century, found no confirmed evidence of a man-made structure, concluding that the formation is likely a natural geological feature.

Geologists continue to maintain that the site was formed by mudflows and erosion, and no peer-reviewed scientific study has confirmed it as the remains of Noah’s Ark.

Experts say more conclusive methods, such as core drilling and direct sampling, would be required to verify the latest claims.

Nigerian comedian and former Big Brother Naija housemate, DeeOne, has ignited controversy after alleging that majority of protests in Nigeria are politically motivated.

Speaking on Vanguard’s podcast on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, DeeOne claimed that “about 90 per cent of protests in Nigeria are politically sponsored,” arguing that many demonstrations are influenced by powerful interests rather than purely driven by citizens’ grievances.

According to him, politicians often operate behind the scenes by funding or backing protest movements to push specific agendas or discredit their opponents.

He noted that this trend makes it difficult for Nigerians to clearly identify genuine protests from those orchestrated for political gain.

DeeOne said. “There’s always an agenda behind most of them.”

His comments have since triggered mixed reactions across social media, with some Nigerians supporting his claim.

But a social media user @NaijaCitizenX, disagreed, saying: “Saying 90% of protests are sponsored is wild. People are hungry, frustrated and tired. Not everything is politics.”

Troops under Joint Task Force South-South, Operation Delta Safe (OPDS), have uncovered 3,250 litres of suspected illegally refined petroleum products during an anti-illegal bunkering operation in Eleme Local Government Area of River State.

This was made known in a post on X by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency and security expert in Lake Chad region. State.

Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, has accepted the former Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, Dr Jasper Uche, into the Labour Party.

The former deputy governorship candidate recently dumped the PDP.

Speaking during a reception, Governor Otti noted that he is encouraged by the disposition of Dr Uche both in appreciating his modest efforts in the State and his commitment to his job outside politics.

The Governor also emphasized that he will not give up or be distracted until he completes his God given mission in Abia State.

“And I want to really thank you for everything. I’m also very encouraged that you had also spoken in the same light about the people you came with.

“One assurance I will give you is that, we will not give up. We will not be distracted.

“We have a mission, and until that mission is completed, we won’t stop. And that is why even in the first two elections that went the way it went, we still remained resilient.

“One thing that is important is that we must always recognize the place of God. If God has designed something, nobody can obliterate it. And if God has said something will not happen, nobody can make it happen. And we believe that this is the time that God wanted this change.

Earlier in his remarks, the 2023 Deputy Governorship candidate of the PDP in the State, Dr. Jasper Uche who noted that the Ihe Abia Organisation has been there in the last 5 years, said that he came with his supporters to reassure the Governor of their commitment to his 2027 reelection, motivated by his visible, verifiable and people-centered achievements across the State.

He told the Governor that they have come to complement the efforts of other stakeholders to ensure his reelection in 2027, declaring that they are here to work and ensure the Governor is delivered for a well deserved second term in Office in 2027.

“We are going to complement the efforts of my brothers that are working with you and others that are not here, to make sure that we don’t just double Umunneochi votes, We will triple Umunneochi votes in 2027,”

“I have come to work, I came to complement what they are doing. And to make sure, that because it is people that I’m going to work with, we are not going to work in silos.

“Your Excellency, we have come to make the work easier for you. So, that is why we are here,” Dr. Uche declared.

Dr. Uche noted that he had visited last week to inform the Governor of his interest in joining him.

“Last time, I was here to formally inform you that I want to leave my former party and join you. And to work for your government in terms of helping you to come back and continue what you are doing in the State.

“Politics is not one man’s business. It’s a matter of let us go. I cannot just come and talk to you and say that Umunneochi is intact. I have to bring some key members of my supporters to come and share this news with me and get this assurance from Your Excellency.

“They are not jobless. They are not people that we picked from the streets. These are organic supporters from my Local Government, Dr. Uche disclosed.

Dr. Uche further thanked the Governor for his giant strides in the State and said that he is proud of the Governor.

Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Davido has confirmed that he has a joint project with American R&B star, Chris Brown scheduled for release next year.

Speaking in a recent episode of the Swift Conversations podcast, Davido explained that he is now focused on making more African-inclined, however, he’s still open to collaborating with American artists.

“The music I am making now is very African. In this next project, I am working with a lot of my original producers from back home.

“However, I am still an American so definitely there’s going to be collaborations. Me and Chris Brown got an album coming next year,” he stated.

Davido and Chris Brown first collaborated on the hit track ‘Blow My Mind’ in 2019. Since then the duo have collaborated on about five songs.

They have been hinting on a joint project for sometime now, with Davido first teasing it in 2023.

He revealed that they have a lot of unreleased songs together.
