The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has confirmed unauthorized access into its database, affecting millions of companies.
CAC made this confirmation in a statement on Wednesday through its X account.

The commission said the breach affected “limited aspects” of its systems.

“The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) is currently reviewing a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to limited aspects of its information systems,” the statement reads.

The commission said it activated its response protocols immediately to mitigate the incident.

“CAC promptly activated its response protocols and is working with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), relevant government agencies, and partners to assess the scope and impact,” the commission added.

According to CAC, appropriate containment measures have been implemented, with additional safeguards deployed to strengthen system security.

This comes days after a report emerged that millions of personal companies’ data domiciled with CAC have been hacked.

​Bayern Munich midfielder, Joshua Kimmich, has named the best two teams left in the Champions League.

Kimmich was speaking to DAZN, following their thrilling 4-3 win over Real Madrid in the second leg of their quarter-final clash.

The result saw the Bundesliga champions progress into the semis with a 6-4 aggregate win.

They will now face Paris Saint-Germain for a place in the final, while the other semi-final sees Arsenal play Atletico Madrid.

Kimmich said: “I don’t think that tonight was a top performance. It wasn’t our best game.

“But, of course, we’re delighted with the win. We can’t forget we’ve won on the night too.

“We’re through to the final four with two wins. And I believe the best teams in Europe are now set to meet in the semi-final.”

Bayern Munich manager, Vincent Kompany, has praised his players for reacting well to the setbacks they faced against Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

The Bundesliga champions needed two late goals from Luis Diaz and Michael Olise to beat Madrid 4-3 at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.

Kompany’s men had won 2-1 at Bernabeu and qualified for the semi-final where they will take on Paris Saint-Germain.

“It was a very emotional game. We had a lot of possession and always felt we could score. But Real Madrid remains Real Madrid,” Kompany told reporters.

“They have very quick players and are always a threat.

“The boys were mentally strong today, recovering from setbacks.

“The fans helped us as well. We stayed calm and always felt that our moment would come. The boys deserved this win.”

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has revealed that the squad voted for Declan Rice to wear the captain’s armband in the last games.

Arteta was speaking after the Gunners sealed their Champions League semi-final spot thanks to a goalless draw with Sporting on Wednesday.

In the absence of Martin Odegaard, Rice led the team out as they lost 2-1 to Bournemouth in the Premier League last weekend.

The England midfielder recovered from illness to skipper the side against Sporting, putting in a typically commanding performance.

Speaking after the game, Arteta said: “They made a decision because I think Declan has earned the role, the way he is taking ownership in difficult moments.”

Rice could continue in the role this weekend when Arsenal play Manchester City at the Etihad.
